Alyson Hannigan was born
on March 24th, 1974 in Washington D.C. She has been in the acting field since she was four years old. In her
early career she appeared in a medley of commercials for Oreo Cookies,
McDonalds and Six Flags Amusement Parks. After meeting
with success in her commercial endeavors, the family decided
a move to Los Angeles would be necessary in order for Alyson to
continue to advance in her career. So when Alyson
was eleven, the family moved to the bright lights of Los Angeles, giving
her the opportunity to break into film and television. Her first big screen appearance
was in My Stepmother is an Alien. She landed the starring role as Dan Aykroyds daughter,
Jessie Mills. Alyson was fourteen years old. Her sympathetic portrayal of Jessie eventually
earned her additional guest and starring roles in various movie and television productions
including Picket Fences, Roseanne, and Touched by an Angel. While she experienced the
inevitable setbacks and dry periods associated with her chosen career path, her positive attitude saw her through the difficult times. When Alyson is not busy
with work, which isnt very often these days, she enjoys kickboxing, bike riding, surfing
the web and her cats and dogs. She also tries to find the time during her busy work schedule
to call some of the fans that write to her and chat with them on the Posting Board on
the official Buffy the Vampire Slayer web site. Alyson also takes time out of her busy
schedule to attend science fiction conventions and charity events to promote her TV show
and interact with her growing legion of fans. Alyson has been a source of inspiration
to many aspiring actresses, and her character Willow, on the hit TV-show Buffy the Vampire Slayer, showed that it was OK to be into studying, computers, and people of the same sex. She is stunning, intelligent
and a fantastic actress.
